These tracks had been originally conceived during the late Spring 2022 by Devis Granziera and Davide Tozzoli, and later, in Summer 2022, reforged by Teatro Satanico at the Bottega Sonora recording-studio.
The titles of the tracks originate from the lost writing of Heraclitus ( in Greek “Herakleitos” ), an ancient philosopher who was considered a misanthrope who lived between 6th and 5th centuries BC. Heraclitus is said to have written an only one work on papyrus which got lost, however fragments of his single writing somehow survived. The philosophers who lived after his time named him “The Obscure” for his cryptic statements.
Devis Granziera precisely choose these obscure ancient Greek words as accompaniment to these post-death-industrial musick compositions.
Herakleitos is a sort of art reflection about life and, more, about death.
It mixes tones of acoustic and electroacoustic instruments, throbbing synthetic noises, harsh electronic beats, shamanic drumming, echoes of gongs and arcane utterances.
