DEVIS GRANZIERA playing to THE COLOUR OF POMEGRANATES
is the title of a tape-cassette album that contains the recording of the score specifically composed and live performed by Devis Granziera (of Teatro Satanico) to a screening of THE COLOR OF POMEGRANATES movie by Sergei Parajanov done in November 7th 2019 at "Cineporto" of Bari (Italy).
We do not got copies available, but you can get one directly to the Italian label that pressed it:
That same label pressed also a tape-album cassette with the complete recording of a live performance by Marco Corbelli (Atrax Morgue) in Massafra (Italy) , May 18th 2002.
The tape-album title is MORS IN MASSAFRA (Latin for DEATH IN MASSAFRA)
The audio had been edited by Devis Granziera (of Teatro Satanico) combining recording taken from the main mixer but also from another portable recorder that was placed nearby the stage by one guy of the management, so it is a bit longer (and possibly better) than other previous unofficial bootleg release.
Indeed this one is an OFFICIAL RELEASE, AUTHORIZED BY MARCO CORBELLI HEIRS and pressed by the guys who managed the gig in 2002.

Un Grand Tour nelle zone buie del cosmo, lì dove scaturiscono la tenebra e le sofferenze delle generazioni, il rapporto dell’uomo con la natura, il tempo, la tecnica e l’assoluto. L’enorme quantità di immagini inedite trova composizione in questo volo e caduta in forma di concerto cum figuris.

Combining analogue organic drones with shamanic percussive elements, dark ambient textures with harsh noise blasting, black ritual spells with kosmische layered lines, these Teatro Satanico tracks blur the boundaries between MagicK, MusicK and Consciousness.

NECROPHONIX – Tavola Anatomica XI
Full-length cd-r album released by TAVOLE ANATOMICHE
The series of Tavole Anatomiche (anatomic tables) is mainly based on the engravings of Giulio Casseri and Andrea Vesalio.
Each Tavola Anatomica (anatomica table) is entrusted to a different artist, which provides his particular vision of the theme.
Each Tavola, belonging to a series, has a common part (the cover face and the back -this one different for the notes only-) and a different part for each artist (the inside of the table with anatomical engraving).
The covers are printed on paper of 200 grams, closed with dimensions of 13,50x21,70 cm. about 40.50x21.70 cm. about. In the center of each table there is a small appendix with the incision of a different anatomical detail that is different for each volume of the series.
The front of the cover in cutted on the center, and has a different cut for each volume, which allows you to see a part of the inner anatomy.
The cover is sealed with a fabric tape that holds a plexiglas blade and plastic needle with black thread.
Inside the cover are some small inserts related to historical images of the anatomies, and two cards with the copy number (each copy has a double insert with number of copy), all is collected with a piece of gauze closed with a patch. One of the coy number is a toe tag with a black ribbon.
Each Tavola Anatomica is strictly limited to 36 nunbered copies, and has different color of plexiglas blade, ribbon and plastic needle, and a different form of cut on front cover.

This is a selection made by Lunus himself of tracks previously released by Slaughter Productions.
The package is completely handmade.
Cdr is housed inside a metallic box made with steel wire. Ourside the box there are five nails joined together and cut from a reel for a nail gun. The nails are spray-painted red (effect blood, torn from the flesh), and on the head of the five nails are written the five letters that make up the name Lunus.
Inside the metallic box there are two black envelopes, one for the cdr and one for the two inserts.
One insert has dimensions of 12 x 12 cm. about, in high quality paper thickness 250 grams, wich reproduces the ancient drawing of a death that pulls with the crossbow; the other one is a mini poster with dimensions 31,50 x 21 cm. about, in high quality paper thickness 120 grams, which reproduces the engraving by William Hogarth "The Reward Of Cruelty", taken from the series of engravings "The Four Stages Od Cruelty", and from which Marco Corbelli extracted the detail to create the Slaughter Productions logo. Also the surface of the cdr reproduces the detail used by Marco Corbelli for his label.

NECROPHONIX è il moniker che dal 2013 Davide Tozzoli (alias N.) e Devis Granziera (alias Lunus) usano per la pubblicazione delle loro produzioni audio. Il progetto affonda le sue radici in un passato pluriventennale, quando Devis Granziera cominciò a sperimentare con il materiale presente nello studio di P. Marzi, il cui banco mixer diventò come una sorta di tavolo autoptico dove sezionare e selezionare ore ed ore di registrazioni. Parte di questo materiale audio è stato pubblicato nel 1990, con il moniker NEKROPHILIA, dalla tape-label SEMIOTEXTERIE di Treviso. Questa iniziale fase di sperimentazione e ricerca si esaurì nel giro di un paio d'anni per lasciare spazio ad altri progetti sorti nello stesso breve lasco di tempo, quali appunto il soprammenzionato Lunus, o il più noto Teatro Satanico. Nel 1996 Devis riprende in mano questo progetto mutando il moniker in NECROFILIA, con la collaborazione di Marco Corbelli (alias Atrax Morgue). Anche questa fase, meno sperimentale ma più espressionista, verrà interrotta nel giro di un paio d'anni, e ripresa poi nel 2006 con il moniker NECROPHONIE. A ribadire un approccio ancora più marcatamente raffrontabile all'espressionismo astratto le produzioni di questo terzo periodo saranno prive di titoli, anche se per comodità di catalogazione si usarono delle sigle per l'identificazione. Nel 2007, in seguito alla morte di Corbelli, il progetto subisce un ulteriore arresto. Carico di tutto questo passato NECROPHONIX porta avanti questo percorso audio, senza timore di inoltrarsi nei territori ostili, oggidì sempre meno alieni, del rumore.

Khem è un collettivo artistico e musicale con base operativa a Taranto, che si muove creativo e poliedrico nella realtà industrial italiana di stampo più “classico”. The Cross è l’ultimo lavoro di Cosimo “Zos” Mungheri, affiancato da Devis Granziera (Teatro Satanico) sia nella produzione sia nelle performance durante eventi del calibro del Destination Morgue.
In undici tracce, The Cross striscia tra agit-pop, noise ed enunciazione futuristica, una varietà di suoni e passaggi che l’intro “Babalon The Harlot” – che suona un dark ambient dal profondo – non lascia minimamente intuire. Il beat acido e metallico di “prof. Bad T.R.(ip) I.(n) P.(eace)” spezza infatti l’atmosfera precedente, si squaglia come droga e si mescola all’inchiostro delle illustrazioni dell’artista ligure in un gioco malato e lisergico. I ritmi scanditi e ripetitivi di “Fourth Way”, che proseguono con intense deviazioni ambient in “Psalm”, anticipano due brani cardine del disco: “The Cross” presenta una nenia profonda che fa da sfondo in modo leggero a una base noise ancorata alla metrica precedente, con percussioni lievi e distorsioni marcate. Lo stesso rituale di parole cantate e sussurrate a mezz’aria si propone in “Syrens Of Taras”, ricreando un’atmosfera surreale tra l’acquatico e lo spaziale, mutando suoni naturali in rumori sintetizzati. La voce di Cosimo prosegue incalzante e propagandistica in un trittico di denuncia-azione che si apre con “Pazienti Socialisti Khem”, un ritmo dub che racconta musicalmente la contaminazione della società odierna, tema esemplificato dal verso “La salute è una chimera” e approfondito in sottofondo da versi in lingua inglese. “Fatto Di Cronaca” è una filastrocca cinica e polemica che cita Carmelo Bene e recupera di nuovo il compianto Professor Bad Trip, mentre “Peggio” chiude in modo autoreferenziale e antimoralista un nucleo compatto del disco, al sapore di CCC CNC NCN. “Aiwaz” riporta l’ascolto verso i tamburi e i clangori sciamanici delle prime tracce, un’invocazione tra il naturale e il robotico che trasforma nuovamente in progressione lo strumento nel suono digitale. Dopo tante parole, quattro minuti e trentatré secondi di silenzio – con piccoli rumori sul finale – creano la traccia autonoma 4’33”e chiudono il disco in modo quasi ironico con un’ altra citazione di alto livello. The Cross mescola tanti ingredienti, riproponendo alcuni sapori a distanza di tempo e concentrandone altri – i più intensi e provocatori – in un’unica esperienza che lascia un piacevole e distruttivo amaro in bocca.

Man könnte es sich einfach machen und die Musik von Roma Amor als Chanson oder Folk bezeichnen. Das wäre nicht einmal wirklich falsch, auch wenn der eine Begriff zu speziell, der andere zu allgemein gehalten wäre. Mit ihrem Grundinstrumentarium aus Akordeon und Gitarre und dem leidenschaftlichem Gesang stehen Euski und Michele in einer Tradition, die sich durch das ganze zwanzigste Jahrhundert zieht, bei italienischen Volksliedern beginnt, Abstecher in die Cabarets der 20er und die Music Hall der 60er macht, um irgendwann bei einem frühen Europop zu landen, den schon der Geist des Punk’n'Wave durchweht. Ihre Songs können nett und einschmeichelnd sein, und gefallen zum Teil auch Leuten, die 17 Hippies mögen. Doch viele ihrer Lieder haben auch eine derbe, dreckige, ungezähmte Seite, lassen Gestalten zu Wort kommen, wie man sie aus frühen Pasolini-Filmen kennt und versuchen erst gar nicht, diese in eine nette, gemütliche Szenerie zu überführen.
Befand sich die Musik der beiden von Beginn an im Fluss, dann stellt „On the Wire“ so etwas wie eine Stromschnelle dar, denn das Album – und Besitzer der Vorab-EP „17.3“ wissen das bereits – hat einige Neuerungen in petto. Euski lässt ihre bisherigen Lieblingssprachen Italienisch und Französisch ruhen und singt diesmal komplett in englischer Sprache, wobei es sich um ein Englisch mit einem derart charmanten Akzent handelt, dass es uns Deutschen die Schamesröte ins Gesicht treiben muss. Darüber hinaus wurde das Klangspektrum merklich erweitert und dank einer Reihe an Gastmusikern (u.a. Devis von Teatro Satanico) hört man neben dem folkigen Grundgerüst auch Gitarrensoli und allerhand Lärm.
Mit einigen Stücken betreten die beiden Neuland, und bei der schmissigen Goth Punk-Nummer „About Myself“ bekommt man den Eindruck, dass die beiden ihre Freude an Verkleidungen und Rollenspielen haben. Unterkühlte, bei genauerem Hinhören jedoch hochemotionale Wavesongs wie „Don’t you“ oder das nur minimal über Spoken Words hinausgehende Kim Wilde-Cover „Cambodia“ wirken hier schon weniger exotisch, auch wenn sie einen veritablen Gegenpart zu groovigen Jazzsongs bilden („The Difference“, „Love to say goodbye for“), oder zu einem Song wie dem gar nicht ängstlich klingenen „Scared“, einem Ohrwurm im Easytempo, der sich gut in einem alten, loungigen Jess Franco-Film gemacht hätte. So eingängig solche Nummern auch sind – in einem gestylten Wohnzimmer müssten sie zwangsläufig stören, denn ehe der nostalgische Schöngeist sich versieht, findet er sich in einer verstaubten Antiidylle vor, in der zahnlose, barfüßige Figuren auftreten („More (Stoned)“) und mit David Bowies Worten ihrer Derangiertheit Ausdruck verleihen – doch während das Idol im Lost Highway-Abspann gerade durch den Widerspruch des Songs zu seiner schönen Gestalt bezaubert, nimmt man den Titel hier beim Wort und macht aus „I’m Deranged“ einen kaputten Synthiesong.
Insgesamt dominieren aber die Momente, in denen das Schöne und das Dreckige direkt zu einer Einheit verschmilzt, wenn shoegaziges Rauschen und nervige Computersounds verhindern, dass aus „17.3“ einfach nur ein süßlicher Lovesong wird, oder wenn folkiges Akordeon und rumpelige Drums im Titelstück für ehrliche, erdige Emotion sorgen. Die ist es letztlich auch, die „On the Wire“ von so manch ordinärer Weltmusik abhebt. (U.S.)

Dopo il meritevole esordio del 2011 per l’ottima label svizzera ‘Show me your wounds’, il progetto tarantino di Cosimo ZOS Mungheri si trasforma in duo grazie all’apporto, nell’integrale scrittura dei brani quanto in fase produttiva, di Devis Granziera, mente di Teatro Satanico ed attore imprescindibile della scena industriale nostrana sin dal remoto 1993. Supportato in alcuni frangenti dalle voci dell’amico e concittadino Max Gravina di Terreni K (che trattiamo in queste stesse pagine in merito all’uscita del nuovo “Somber Aesthetics”), “The cross” abbandona parzialmente la ambient rituale di marca Coil e C93 (quelli primigeni) dell’esordio, avvicinandosi in parte alle più recenti produzioni di Teatro Satanico, ove elemento ritmico, voce declamata/recitata e sperimentazione dai tratti oscuri e rituali si sposano felicemente. Parecchi i nessi interessanti che incontriamo nel corso del disco, dai rimandi thelemici dell’iniziale “Babalon the harlot” al tributo al prematuramente scomparso Gianluca Lerici (musicista e poi grafico-fumettista della prima ondata punk toscana) di “Prof. Bad T.R.(est)I.(n)P.(eace)”; e come non citare le declamazioni in stile S.P.K (Sozialistisches Patienten Kollectiv) di “Pazienti Socialisti Khem”, mentre la mistica “Aiwaz” riprende ancora una volta le tematiche Crowleyane, di certo influenza imprescindibile nel background di Cosimo così come in quello di Devis. Taranto, città della tristemente controversa Ilva, polo industriale del nostro meridione che ancora una volta conferma di saper giocare un ruolo di primo piano quando si parla di italian grey area; le esalazioni malefiche delle sue industrie non generano solo morte e malattie, ma anche poesie e suoni distorti per la nuova generazione post industriale!

Lunus è il progetto solista di Devis Granziera, noto ai cultori dell’industrial per essere il fondatore dei Teatro Satanico. 10 le tracce presenti in “Nihil”. Suoni elettronici e noise che creano atmosfere claustrofobiche degne del miglior industrial. I brani che ho apprezzato di più sono quelli più ritmati come per esempio“Left hand path”, la litania industrial esoterica di “Mann Frau Gott” e la cavalcata industrial “Soli soli soli”. Un disco che cerca di reinventare l’industrial senza utilizzare stilemi ormai scontati, che hanno stancato, e che hanno connotato una realtà monotematica dalla quale siamo stati purtroppo sopraffatti. Degna chiusura di “Nihil” è il il brano d’atmosfera che ha dato il titolo all’album. Devis, come già con i Teatro Satanico, riesceanche con Lunus nel suo intento in qunato è in grado ancora una volta di dare nuova linfa vitale a un genere che oramai è già più di 30 anni che sforna dischi spesso troppo uguali tra loro. I cultori dell'industrial di classe e di qualità apprezzeranno questa nuova creatura di Lunus. Ottimo disco uscito in versione digipack con copertina disegnata da Saturno Buttò.

Incessante continua il flusso produttivo di un catalogo davvero ricco nel suo essere proposta alternative nell’alternativo: nel finale di 2013 di Old Europa Cafè compare questo split tra Cosimo ZOS Mungheri (il nostro primo incontro con Khem fu in occasione della release da parte di Show Me Your Wounds Production “Come Forth”) e Davis, potente signore veneto del teatro musicale post-industriale come Teatro Satanico o nei tanti split-project della sua lunga carriera noise.
Proprio Davis è il catalizzatore dell’essenza Khem di “The Cross” oggi slegata dall’esoterismo psichico dell’album precedente, nuvola in undici tracce composta da miscele di gas acustici ed improvvisi estetismi industriali allineati con il nuovo verbo dell’ex-marzialismo nichilista, oggi avanguardia quasi astrattista nel cercare link tra tribalismi arcaici e dadaismi sonori.
Der Blutharsch è morto?
Forse sì, forse no ma quella via ha svoltato e tutto ciò che era neofolk, brown e grey area, sono oggi crogiolo di sperimentazioni, quasi simili ad un laboratorio pittorico letterario che tramuta il concetto in forma acustica, programmatica.
“Babalon The Harlot” ci introduce in questo mondo sonoro dove la parola è sussurro (anche collettivo) ed il suono riverbera cupo e minaccioso, altrove circolare con leggere lisergie gravose, disperdendosi in un soundscape/landscape futuribile nella sintassi di un suono tra matrici sci-fi ed incursioni ambient metalliche.
“Psalm”, la stessa “The Cross” come altre tracce disegnano linee complesse su sfondi ripetuti in piccoli loop acustici, gravidi di tensione trattenuta e repressa, percorrendo incubi e paure recondite del quotidiano malessere esistenziale, ascoltate la parte del testo di “Pazienti Socialisti Khem” e riflettete.
Riflessione ed azione, ragione ed irrazionale, in “The Cross” il messaggio è tra le righe ma fino ad un certo punto, a voi la scelta o la non/scelta ma consapevole, il suono è guida.

Verschnörkelt wabernde Elektronik bildet die Basis von LUNUS “11 – 23“, das vorrangig Freunde der Atonalität & Experimentierfreude bedient, denen Hörerlebnis vor Melodiösität geht.
“11 – 23” veröffentlichten LUNUS über den Schweizerischen Verlag SHOW ME YOUR WOUNDS PRODUCTION, der die verquasten 10 Tracks (ohne Titelbenennung) in Form einer limitierten CD-R (111 Kopien) in einer schwarzweißen Kartonstecktasche herausgibt.
Über den tieferen Sinn von “11 – 23” schweigen sich DEVIS DEVILS GRANZIERA, besser bekannt unter TEATRO SATANICO, und seine Assistenten GIANLUCA FAVARON, STEFAN SGUARIO & LUIGI RUSSOLO aus, welche sich ein Jahr (2011) lang, immer am 23. jeden Monats trafen, um diese elektronische vielschichtige Werk zu komponieren(?).
Genrepurist(-inn)en sei von LUNUS “11 – 23” abgeraten, dessen Strukturen einen verquasten Stilmix aus Noise (HNW), Power Electronics, Industrial, Electronica & Minmal darstellen, der entweder in Zeitlupe oder im Midtempo aus den Boxen schallt. Ebenso nutzen LUNUS sämtliche Tiefen & Höhen von Tönen aus, womit die Italiener anspruchsvolle Ohren bezirzen & den Rest (unter Garantie) verstören. Gefallen mag, dass die Herren statische wie rhythmische Sequenzen miteinander verbinden, wodurch ein wahrhaftiges Hörerlebnis entsteht. Anspieltipp? Für denjenigen, der abstrakte Elektronik schätzt ein MUSS, hingegen für den Rest zu vernachlässigen!
Fazit:
DEVIS DEVILS GRANZIERA & seine Mannen zelebrieren auch unter dem Pseudonym LUNUS große Kunst, die defacto eine kleinere Nische als TEATRO SATANICO bedient, aber genauso durch Intensität & Eigenständigkeit überzeugt – meine absolute Empfehlung! PS: Individuen, die japanischen Noise in allen Facetten lieben, sollten LUNUS “11 – 23″ unbedingt eine Chance geben!
